The expertise of these civilizations focused on Agriculture as it was the main activity : Phoenician developed olive and grape cultivation 3,000 years ago. Ancient Rome considered Carthage as a grain granary.
This tradition and Mother Nature made of Tunisia one of the most suitable countries for Organic production.

Today about 300,000 Ha have an Organic certification in Tunisia.
Organic production covers a wide range of products from olive oil to dates, fresh produce, herbs, cereals and vinegar.
